1826 - First Permanent Image

The frist permanent image was created by french inventor Joseph Nicephore, he used a camera obscura to burn an image of the countryside onto a chemical-coated pewter plate at his Le Gras, France, estate. He named his newly discoved technique heliography, meaning sun drawing. The black and white exposure takes eight hours and fades signifiacntly, but an image is still visible on the plate today.

Time line.

I am going to do my investigation on the history of photography. The history of photography started in ancient times with the use of a very large pin hole camera that was the size of a room. The light would come through the hole in the side of the wall, that would then in turn appear on the opposite wall. When the light reacted with chemicals an image would develop.
